This is just unreal. There is no way something like this would have been done 20 years or so ago. What really puzzles me is, why now? It seems like a harmless way to make being a JW half way fun, and it costs the Borg nothing. Why was it never even considered or allowed in days past? Are they doing a test run, see what happens? Or maybe their outside advisors were smart enough to come up with it.

so many questionn perhaps will be answer by this investigation/independent audit and perhaps some follow up untanglement of funds in the proliferation of different corporations that are under the gbs control.. i think 2014 is going to be a very interesting year for the wt corporation.
o and how do do feel about the whistleblower policy implimentation for all those that bring in 1,000,000 dollars or more annually.
can you imagine the wt corporation problems with that little gem, they can't disfelloship him or dismiss a whistleblower my my my.. .

blood could become much less scarce if a british research group succeeds in bringing a version made from stem cells to human trials, and eventually to market.
I am confused when I see comments about how this could solve the Watchtower's blood "problem". I don't think they have a blood problem. They have a convoluted policy on the medical use of blood, and it makes headlines once in a while, and some JWs have lost their lives trying to obey their misguided rules. Do you really think anyone running this org loses any sleep over this? Do you see any evidence that rank and file JWs are unhappy about the blood issue? Is there going to be some kind of mass uprising or schism due to the blood policy??? I seriously doubt it.

Just to be clear, the Watchtower Society, for all their faults, never claimed that MEPS translated publications from one language to another. It's a typesetting system, that's all. They were very clear on that, unfortunately the average dub is not all that computer savvy.

I was telling a friend of mine (he is not a JW, never has been) about all the rumors. He came up with this list of possible announcements:
1. There are a few more seats opening up in Heaven so stay with us.
2. We know we keep missing the end of the world dates, but those were just math errors (carrying the 1 etc)
3. Maybe we should wear funny costumes and tell jokes when we do door to door.
4. Do we really believe Prince and the Jacksons follow the same rules are we do?
5. We should change our name because young kids associate ‘witness’ with ‘sniches’ and sniches are biches.
For a non-JW I thought he did a good job!
